Artist in Residence
Quiet Simplicity was an essential stream of consciousness to employ to satisfy this deeply thoughtful artist. Her goal for the studio in her second residence on Whidbey Island was to make each piece useful and flexible for her work style. Standing, sitting, moving, collecting, cutting, pasting – all commanded a space designed to adjust. Working in photography, printmaking and paperwork required the support of warm neutral tones that create the blank-page backdrop she uses when she starts a new project.
